Resources Consolidated International Trading, Inc. (Rescon International) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 2, 1992.
From its humble beginnings trading materials and equipment connected with the coal mining industry as an agent for several foreign equipment manufacturers, RESCON shifted its attention to the construction industry when several coal mines closed down in 1996. It became a distributor for various manufacturers of pipes and plumbing supply materials.
RESCON later on diversified into the construction field itself and completed several contracts for residential projects and plumbing works at Filinvest in Alabang. This has been the primary activity the company focused on until 1997.
Expansion came in 1997 as RESCON ventured into the hydrocarbon, petrochemical and chemical industries. They supplied hardware and construction materials to companies such as Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation and Caltex (Philippines), Inc.
To keep their company afloat during the Asian currency crisis of 1997, RESCON went into the supply of corporate giveaways and bagged several contracts.
With the birth of a new and reformatted management and marketing teams, RESCON’s business and product portfolios slowly and consistently developed as it focused on the hydrocarbon, petrochemical, chemical, compressed gas, and mining industries.
Currently staffed with Admin & Finance, Sales, Technical & Field personnel, RESCON’s diversification and expansion of their market coverage to include an extensive line of electromechanical, water and wastewater, and environment, health and safety products continues.
